ADDRESS MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
PER/RDI
PER/RDI provides Residential Delivery Indicator information. The RDITM flag identifies an address as a residence or business. The US Postal Service is promoting use of RDI as a tool for identification of the best shipping rates.
RDI is based on data provided to the end user by the USPS. Users who wish to use RDI will be required to license the RDI data directly from the USPS. WorksRight Software, Inc. only provides software to utilize the USPS RDI data.
PER/RDI is an optional, no-charge, companion product for PER/DPV subscribers. Even though there is no charge for the PER/RDI software product, potential PER/RDI users will be required to accept a PER/RDI license before installation.
Both PER/DPV and PER/RDI involve very sensitive information. Use of PER/DPV and PER/RDI is VERY strictly controlled. Both the USPS and WorksRight have strict guidelines for the use of each product.
Important note: All Post Office Boxes are identified by PER/RDI as residences.
